can i bring my leashed dog?

We love all living creatures! However,  the Festival is expected to have between 5k-7k people and though we will not turn away your furry friends, we encourage you to let them protect the pollinators in your yard while you're at the Festival or bring your well-behaved pups on a leash.

Do you have water available?

We’ve got you covered! Be sure to bring your reusable water bottles to fillup at the water jugs at our hydration stations.

is there stroller parking?

Strollers can be easily checked at the entrance, right next to the port-a-potties and Milkweed Meadow.

The festival sprouted eight years ago, sowed by founder Monika Maeckle of Texas Butterfly Ranch. Together with community allies, the festival grew into Texas' grandest celebration of monarchs and pollinators in support of the Mayor’s Monarch Pledge with San Antonio as the first Monarch Champion City.

This annual city-wide event is free to attend, and brings together families, citizen scientists, and community partners to celebrate the Monarch Butterfly and all of the pollinators that support our ecosystem.
